Seaton - Holyford Woods

Service Description

Seaton, Holyford Woods – 8 miles Coast, countryside and ancient woodland all rolled into one wonderfully varied walk. This 8-mile circular takes us away from the bustle of Seaton and into the quieter countryside beyond, where we'll discover Holyford Woods, an atmospheric ancient woodland of winding paths, mature trees and hidden corners. Beyond the woods, the landscape opens out into rolling East Devon countryside, with some lovely elevated sections and far-reaching views before our journey eventually brings us towards Beer and the Jurassic Coast. With around 1,270 ft of ascent, there are a few hills to earn those views, but that's all part of this walk's appeal. Woodland, open countryside, rural tracks, hidden valleys and the coast combine to make this a walk with plenty of variety.
