Supporting Devon Air Ambulance
One of our walking group came up with a wonderful idea: to raise money for Devon Air Ambulance. She kindly offered to host us in her garden after the walk and even provided food for everyone.
This particular charity has a very personal connection for me.
Ceri Thomas was a school friend of mine and a member of my Ten Tors team in the mid-1980s. Tragically, Ceri was killed in a road accident when he was just 18 years old.
Following his death, Ceri’s mum helped establish Devon Air Ambulance, turning an unimaginable personal loss into something that has gone on to help save countless lives across Devon.
So, in memory of Ceri and in recognition of his mum’s extraordinary work, we organised a charity walk.
Together, we raised more than £400 for Devon Air Ambulance.
